POCKETS ARE NO PLACE

FOR CAPS

Pockets are no place for caps; at least not the caps that are made to be used in toy guns.

Toy caps contain a pyrotechnic material that ignites when struck, creating sparks and a loud noise.

When carried in pockets, friction can ignite the caps and cause burns, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The commission's warning not to put caps in pockets includes caps sold on strips of paper as well as those sold in small plastic rings.
